Jord’s two topside modules, some 2,800 tons in weight, will deliver 100MW of power to the FPSO vessel.

Lying at the heart of Jord’s scope are four LM2500 gas turbines. A derivative of a GE aircraft engine, the model selected is designed specifically for the FPSO market.  It is a lighter, more compact version, generating electricity and driving compressors that send natural gas from the FPSO to an onshore facility for further processing.

Jord scope includes the detailed design, assembly and packaging of the two turbo-generator topside modules and associated waste heat recovery units (WHRU).  So too their associated process systems, including fuel gas, liquid fuel, cooling water, lube oil, demineralized water (for the WHRU), water washing for the core engines and instrument air systems.
