We are looking for an experienced Field Technician to join our team. The role has responsibility for site installations and maintenance; diagnosis and repair; and scheduled preventative maintenance of telecommunications and data center power systems and remote monitoring networks; also the power sources monitored by those systems including mains power, batteries, gen sets and solar arrays.

The technician will be on a 3 month rotation between the office at Belrose and at Huntingwood.

Preferred full NSW electrical license or minimum restricted NSW electrical licenseResponsibilities:

  • Act as primary point of contact and be responsible for correct operation of power and cooling solutions.
  • Assist with alarms, issues and risks and attend all issues/ alarms in first instance.
  • Assist with maintenance planning and MOPs review.
  • Perform and track basic monthly, quarterly, semi-annual planned preventative maintenance and check-up on the power and cooling solutions.
  • Assist with Annual Preventive Maintenance Service.
  • Review battery logs to determine optimum time to equalize charge batteries and perform life cycle replacement.
  • Attend CAB and ECAB meetings as required to assist with changes that may affect or involve the power and cooling solutions.
  • Assist with site wide maintenance events (e.g. black starts)
  • Lodge, monitor, track and close out tickets for the power and cooling solutions.
  • Assist with updating firmware and implementing upgrades
  • Assist with raising and tracking RMA and RCA requests.
  • Assist with reporting requirements.
  • Perform and track quarterly and semi-annual planned preventative maintenance and assist with Annual Preventive Maintenance service.

Essential Criteria:

  • Preferred full NSW electrical license or minimum restricted NSW electrical license
  • A minimum of 4+ years of sales experience
  • A background in Data Centre, Telecommunications, System Integration or ICT essential
  • A strong sales track record in building lucrative business and closing deals
  • Proven closing skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Desire to pursue a solid sales career within technology
  • Exceptional ability to close sales with new and existing clients & demonstrate performance
  • Ability to think quickly on their feet and have high energy
  • UPS, Power distribution, Cooling, Software and Autocad exposure, would be an advantage
  • Have the ability to multitask effectively and efficiently

This position will be filled Monday to and the start time will be negotiated between the Parties with total normal working hours of 7.6 hours per day.
