Our customer’s existing slug catcher had inherent design issues which prohibited design performance being attained.
Existing equipment can often be successfully de-bottlenecked, performance enhanced or otherwise improved by simply re-configuring or upgrading the process internals.
Jord designed an alternative internals system, comprising a vane inlet device, vane pack and outlet piping, in a manner that allowed installation through a 24” manway. The retrofit took place without the need for any hot work (welding). Design performance was thereby achieved.
