The purpose of the compression trains is to boost gas pressure into the main gas transmission pipeline (GTP) for transportation to an LNG production facility on Curtis Island, Gladstone. The pressure of the produced gas increases from 1,200 kPa(a) to over 15,000 kPa(a).
The scope comprised gas scrubber skids, compressor anti-surge protection systems, pressure relief, gas cooling, lube-oil cooling and associated pipe racks connecting back to the compressors.
