The gas turbine manufacturer decided to trial a solution by upgrading one of its gas turbines with a Jord NOx control system. 100 days to complete the task! Impossible? Possible.

With insufficient time for a conventional workshop module build, Jord’s project team proposed a site assembled solution, which was eagerly embraced.

Working around the clock, components were sourced and airfreighted, in various states of partial assembly. It was a relentless task that consumed the project team over a number of weekends and holiday periods. After overseeing module assembly at a workshop near to the power station site, Jord’s site service team worked closely with the gas turbine technicians to load the necessary software and re-program the DCS to accommodate the new NOx control unit.

Right on cue, and in front of various government officials and environmental consultants, the module was successfully commissioned. The results surpassed performance expectations.

The above photo in the power station control room is indicative of the relief felt at site.
