Jord designed and constructed eight scrubber tower modules, sited at various parts of the plant, to treat or remove all toxins in compliance with local government regulations.
Flowrates for each of the 8 vent gas streams ranged from 150 to 30,000 Nm3/hr. The eight tower scrubber systems were delivered in modular form, despite being up to 15m in height. All were fully Factory Acceptance Tested (“FAT”) in the vertical position, prior to the towers being lowered to a horizontal position for sea transportation to site.
Packed tower scrubbers are suitable for a wide variety of toxic, hazardous and odorous gases, including hydrochloric and other halogenic acids; hydrogen sulphide; sulphur dioxide; chlorine; ammonia and various amine gases. Jord’s packed tower scrubbers achieve highly efficient absorption. Removal efficiencies up to 99.99% are achievable in some applications.
